Transitioning from SAP FI to Domestic Solutions

SAPto1C.png

Large enterprises currently using the SAP FI-CO module for financial accounting and controlling are facing the need to switch to domestic solutions. Key challenges during this transition include maintaining high performance, ensuring business process continuity, and complying with Russian legislation.

To address this, Lindy Core integrated the LINTER SOKOL (SoQoL) DBMS from RELEX into the LeanDI Core architecture. This solution ensures high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability while reducing licensing costs.

The project implementation involved overcoming several complex challenges; specifically, a solution was required for archiving and migrating financial data.

This task was accomplished by specialists from ALPE Consulting, who developed a solution for archiving financial data registers based on LeanDI-Core.

The solution enables the migration of over 10 terabytes of historical data from FI-CO modules—including register transfer, financial accounting data, and archive creation—while presenting the data in report formats familiar to SAP users.

The ALPE Consulting software also allows for additional queries against the dataset and offers a user-friendly interface for end users.

Importantly, the solution ensures compliance with federal laws regarding the storage of accounting registers within Russia.

This software is recommended for companies with headquarters outside the Russian Federation and for those planning a transition from SAP to 1C.
